The Alness Golf Club is committed to the development of Junior Golf.

To this end we provide FREE Junior Tuition to all members under 18 throughout the summer season.

William Anderson has been our Junior Convenor for many years now and seen many Juniors progress from as young as 6 through to Full Member status. 

William organises the Junior competitions both within the Club and supervises trips to neighbouring Clubs' which encourages good sportsmanship, etiquette and the development of golfing standards.

Our resident PGA Golf Professional, Gary Lister provides weekly classes for the Juniors throughout the summer season, assisted by former Captain Ron Aitken.

The classes have proved very popular with the Juniors and we have noticed significant improvements in their golfing standards.

So much so that we are now seeing Juniors as young as 12 progressing to Full Membership and competing with adults in Club Competitions.

This has all been possible because due to funding from local businesses and from sports funding agencies.
